asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will take action to restore confidence to beef producers by enabling prices for fat animals to reach realistic levels.

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will take urgent steps to remedy the financial difficulties of farmers in the beef sector.

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what are the obstacles in the way of instituting a guaranteed price for beef.

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will take immediate action to ensure higher returns for livestock producers to an extent designed to restore confidence in the industry.

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if it remains his objective, as stated on 17th July, to secure a minimum price of £18 per hundredweight to beef producers.
