§ Mr. BishopPresent imports of carcase beef and fat cattle from the Irish Republic are in line with levels of traditional trade. They represent a very small proportion of total United Kingdom consumption and should not have a significant effect on market price levels, particularly since our total imports this year are much lower than usual.
