HC Deb 01 November 1974 vol 880 cc28-9W
Mr. Berry

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many dental estimates have been submitted in the past year involving extractions of teeth from people under 16 years; how many of these were for permanent molar teeth; how many of these were for four permanent molar teeth in four quadrants of the mouth; and in how many cases involving the four permanent molars in four quadrants of the mouth a general anaesthetic fee was not claimed.

Dr. Owen

In England in 1973 payments were made for 1.3 million courses of treatment which included extractions of teeth from patients under 16 years. The figures sought in the remainder of the Question are not available.
