§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will recommend local authorities to purchase houses from the private sector as they become available to assist their priorities being met in the allocation of the limited housing stock.
§ Mr. RowlandsWelsh Office Circular 111/74 sets out Government policy on the acquisition by local authorities of houses from the private sector. Within this policy local authorities are encouraged to take every opportunity of increasing their housing stock where there is need.
