Mr. Silvester

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what is the value in pence per week of food subsidies so far announced on average for pensioner households, households with three or more children, and households with weekly income under £20, over £20 and under £50 and £50 or more, respectively.

The estimated saving is 32¾p per week for an old-age pensioner couple, and 73¼|p per week for a family of two adults and three or more children.
