HC Deb 22 May 1974 vol 874 c163W
21. Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has received from the New Zealand Government about changes in arrangements for access of butter to Community markets; and if he will take action in consequence at the EEC.

Mr. Hattersley

We have already had discussions with the New Zealand Government and these are continuing. The Commission has proposed, and we agree, that it should do a study on the impact of increases in New Zealand's production and freight costs. We shall, of course, consider the position in the light of this and other relevant factors.
