40. Mr. Edelman

asked the Secretary of Sate for Social Services whether she has taken note of the problems arising at Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry, in connection with the underpayment of technicians concerned with medical physics and physiological measurement; if she will take action to assist in solving these problems; and whether she will make a statement.

Dr. Owen

The revaluation of the work of medical physics and physiological measurement technicians is primarily a matter for the Whitley Council, but both sides have drawn my attention to their problems in proceeding in the light of the statement made by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment on 18 th March and I am considering the matter.—[Vol. 870. c. 688–703.]
