asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will act unilaterally to suspend all tariffs on re imports of goods of United Kingdom origin during the lifetime of the Price Commission.

Any goods of United Kingdom origin which are re imported into the United Kingdom in the same state as when exported may be admitted without payment of customs duty under the terms of Section 35 of the Customs and Excise Act 1952.
