HC Deb 20 May 1974 vol 874 c39W
Mr. Shersby

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the value of Great Britain's invisible trade with Japan during 1973; and what is his estimate for the current year.

Dr. Gilbert

Reliable estimates of total invisible transactions with individual overseas countries are not available. Such information as is available suggests that the current annual balance on invisible trade with Japan is a surplus of the order of £150 million-£200 million.
