asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to publish the town map for the Medway towns.

This map is being considered together with the Medway Gap and Maidstone and vicinity town maps and my right hon. Friend hopes to announce his proposed modifications in May or June. There is a right of objection to proposed modifications and it is not possible to say when a final decision on the town maps will be published.
