HC Deb 03 May 1974 vol 872 cc573-4W
Mr. Lee

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many cases have been notified to him of wives domiciled in the United Kingdom seeking the admission of their husbands to the United Kingdom.

Mr. Alexander W. Lyon

Husbands seeking entry to this country must apply overseas for entry clearances. I regret we do not have figures for the number of cases in which women resident in this country have approached the Home Office about the admission of their husbands, or the number of husbands who have applied for entry clearances.
