asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the numbers of foreign-born women who have been admitted to the United Kingdom in each year since 1969 who have been married to British citizens or men with British rights of residence.

Following are the numbers of foreign women accepted for settlement by virtue of marriage: 1969, 4,951; 1970, 4,497; 1971, 6,130; 1972, 5,319; 1973, 5,500 (estimated).
