§ Mr. Geraint Howellsasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many males, females, boys and girls, respectively, have registered as unemployed in Ceredigion during 1974.
§ Mr. John FraserFigures of unemployment relate to those on the register at a given date and not for totals who have registered during a period. On 8th April 1974, 929 males and 252 females were unemployed in the employment office areas which broadly correspond to Ceredigion, and on 14th January 1974 the comparable figures were 766 males and 137 females. Following the reorganisation of the employment services separate figures for adults and young people will now only be available for January and July each year when detailed age analyses are compiled.
