§ Mr. Moneyasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will introduce short-term assistance for farmers through the reintroduction of the fertiliser subsidy.
§ Mr. MoyleThe fertiliser subsidy will not be ended until 31st May by which time the peak period of spring application of fertilisers will have passed. The decision to end the subsidy scheme was taken by the previous administration as part of the determinations at this year's Annual Review.
