asked the Secretary of State for Industry what discussions he has had with the British Steel Corporation regarding the Corporation's pricing schedules; and with what result.

The corporation discussed its prices with me and, with effect from 28th March, has increased by an average of 25 per cent. the price of steel products covered by the ECSC Treaty; the increase in the price of tinplate used in canning food for human consumption is 15 per cent.
