HC Deb 29 March 1974 vol 871 c226W
Mr. Cyril Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement about the impending trial of a British passport holder in Rhodesia.

Miss Joan Lestor

If my hon. Friend is referring to the case of Mr. Kenneth McIntosh, I understand that he has pleaded guilty to a charge under the Rhodesian "Emergency Powers (Sanctions Counter-Espionage) Regulations, 1970" at a hearing in the Rhodesian High Court on 26th March; and that his plea of not guilty to a charge under the Rhodesian "Official Secrets Act 1970" was accepted by the prosecution.
