Mr. Farr

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to be able to announce a definite timetable for the construction of the Market Harborough bypass.

As the hon. Member is aware, decisions on a Market Harborough bypass depend on the results of the A1/M1 link feasibility study. The report of the study is now under consideration. I will let the hon. Member know the outcome.
