asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he intends to grant additional money to the Arts Council.

Mr. Hugh Jenkins

The grant in aid for the Arts Council of Great Britain published on 26th March in the Civil Estimates for 1974–75 is £18.835 million. This is a significant increase in real terms after allowing for the effects of inflation.
