§ Mr. Biffenasked the Secretary of State for Industry what representations he has received concerning ferrous scrap prices; and what is the policy of the Government towards the present EEC transitional arrangements for United Kingdom scrap 149W and the prospects of full conformity with European Coal and Steel Community rules after 1st January 1975.
§ Mr. MeacherI have not received any representations concerning ferrous scrap prices. The general objectives of Government policy towards EEC and ECSC were described in the speech made on 19th March in this House by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
