§ Mr. David Priceasked the Secretary of State for Energy what research and development work he is sponsoring into the utilisation of solar energy, both as a more direct source of heating and as a primary method of generating electricity.
§ Mr. StrangThe Government are contributing to the Euratom research programme, which includes research on solar energy for both electricity generation and direct heating. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment is also evaluating the prospects for using solar energy for space heating.
