§ Mr. Robin F. Cookasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether she expects in the near future to increase the amount of various supplementary benefit disregards; and whether in so doing she will consider the higher level of disregards available for invalidity benefit.
§ Mr. O'MalleyOur immediate priority is to give effect as soon as possible to our undertaking to increase pensions to £10 and £16, and to the raising of supplementary benefit levels. The question of improving the disregards will be considered along with other aspects of the supplementary benefits scheme as financial resources become available.
