asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will accelerate the issue of work vouchers to United Kingdom passport holders who have no other nationality.

The issue of work permits is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment. In addition, special vouchers are issued to United Kingdom passport holders within the global quota of 3,500 a year for heads of household which was fixed in May 1972.
