HC Deb 21 March 1974 vol 870 cc155-6W
Mr. Snape

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will reconsider the recent decision in relation to capital programmes for schools in West Bromwich, and in particular Holy Trinity Church of England Primary, West Bromwich.

Mr. Armstrong

My right hon. Friend is reviewing the school building programmes and giving particular attention to the date from which it will be possible

the Armed Forces for the past five years; and if he will make a statement on recruiting trends in the last six months.

Mr. William Rodgers

Figures for Service men recruited are as follows:

to resume giving approval to school improvement projects. I regret that it is not possible, meanwhile, to comment on the position of individual local education authorities or projects. I am, however, aware of the special difficulties concerning the Holy Trinity School, and I shall be writing to my hon. Friend shortly.
