HC Deb 21 March 1974 vol 870 c147W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in the light of recent experience, and in view of the continuing need for economy in the use of electricity, he will commission a review of the standards of highway lighting.

Mr. Mulley

No. I am satisfied that current standards for new lighting for highways reflect a proper balance between economy and the value of lighting in reducing accidents.
