HC Deb 20 March 1974 vol 870 c112W
Mr. Wm. Ross

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps he is taking to deal with the situation now facing the Northern Ireland agricultural industry as a result of the rise in the cost of feeding stuffs for livestock.

Mr. Buchan

The problems of high costs of feeding stuffs have affected farmers in all parts of the United Kingdom. We are examining the situation urgently, and my right hon. Friend has already had discussions with representatives of the National Farmers Union.
