§ Mr. Bodyasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will make a statement about the future price of sugar imported under the Commonwealth Sugar Agreement.
§ Mr. PeartFor sugar shipped up to 31st December 1974, when the agreement is due to end, the price remains at £50 per ton for bulk sugar fob and stowed basis 96 degrees polarisation, with an addition of between £7 and £11 per ton for shipments from the developing countries. However, as I explained in the debate on 14th March an adjustment is being made in the price for 1972.
