§ Mrs. Chalkerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to provide probation hostels on Merseyside in general, and in the Wirral in particular, within the next two years.
§ Dr. SummerskillA probation hostel for young offenders has existed in Liverpool for many years. A hostel for adults, also in Liverpool, is in preparation and should open later this summer. The location of further hostels in Merseyside, when they are authorised, will be a matter for the Probation and After-Care Committee.
