HC Deb 25 June 1974 vol 875 cc406-7W
Q12. Mr. Carter-Jones

asked the Prime Minister if he is satisfied with the coordination between the Department of Health and Social Security, the Department of Education and Science and the Department of Employment regarding essential communication equipment to enable severely handicapped children to receive education up to their maximum potential.

Mr. Edward Short

I have been asked to reply.

Yes. This is primarily a matter for local education authorities but there is appropriate consultation between the Departments concerned, which has been stimulated by the appointment of my hon. Friend as the Minister for the Disabled.
