§ 44. Mr. Evelyn Kingasked the Lord President of the Council when he expects to receive the report of the Review Body on secretarial and other allowances for Members.
§ Mr. Edward ShortLord Boyle, the Chairman of the Top Salaries Review Body, was formally invited by the Prime Minister to undertake this review of Members' allowances on 31st May 1974. The Review Body appreciates the need for an early report, and I understand that its work is now well advanced. I hope, therefore, to be in a position to make a statement before the recess.
