HC Deb 21 June 1974 vol 875 c306W
Mr. Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the waiting period for X-rays at the West Park branch of the Macclesfield Hospital; and what steps she is taking to improve the situation.

Dr. Owen

In-patients are X-rayed within two days. Out-patients requiring straightforward procedures are X-rayed within about one week; those requiring intravenous pyelograms, within three weeks; and those requiring barium meal X-rays, within five weeks. New equipment which will reduce waiting times is expected to be in use in early July.
