§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether she will dismiss Lord Amulree as Chairman of the Attendance Allowance Board by reason of his failure to give a substantive reply to the letter from the Minister for the Disabled requiring him to consider changing the procedures of the board.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisNo. As my hon. and learned Friend already knows, Lord Amulree has been asked to review the present procedures for dealing with claims. An immediate substantive reply would not in the nature of the case be possible but the review is now under way 307W and the noble Lord hopes to be able to report the board's conclusions by the autumn.
