§ Mr. Burdenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when the 800-bed extension to the Medway Hospital will be completed.
§ Dr. OwenThe South-East Thames Regional Health Authority which is responsible in the first instance for the provision of Health Services in the Medway towns, hopes that a start on this extension can be made in the early 1980s, although the exact timing and scope of the development will need to be assessed in the light of the resources available to the authority and the many other competing claims on these resources.
