asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will now refuse an export licence for the manuscript of Thomas Heywood's play "The Most Pleasant History of Tom a Lincoln".

Mr. Hugh Jenkins

The applicants for an export licence have agreed that the application should be regarded as in suspense for the time being. No question of issuing or refusing a licence therefore arises at present.
