HC Deb 12 June 1974 vol 874 c592W
Mr. Wyn Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is his estimate of the number and percentage of households in Wales which are unconnected to main sewerage systems and do not have private septic tank facilities.

Mr. John Morris

The most recent information available arises out of a survey carried out in 1970. At that time, there were about 96,000 domestic properties in Wales without main drainage, representing about 10 per cent, of the total.

I regret that there is no information readily available about septic tank facilities.
