asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many times the Working Party on Self-Employment in the Construction Industry has so far met; and how many further meetings have already been arranged.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will list the members of the Working Party on Self-Employment in the Construction Industry, indicating their qualifications in each case.

The members of the Working Party on Self-Employment and Associated Issues are:

Mr. D. Misselbrook, CBE. Chairman. (Chairman of the Livingston Development Corporation and a former chairman of the Construction Industry Training Board and of the Economic Development Committees for Building and Civil Engineering).

Mr. J. D. Allen (Managing Director, John Morgan Construction Ltd.).

Mr. J. M. Cooling (Director and Chief Engineer, Balfour Kilpatrick Construction Ltd.).

Mr. L. C. Kemp (National Secretary, Building, Construction and Civil Engineering Group, Transport and General Workers Union).

Mr. C. Lovell (National Secretary, Electrical Electronic Telecommunication and Plumbing Union).

Mr. K. McAlpine (Director, Sir R McAlpine & Sons Ltd.).

Mr. G. F. Smith, CBE (General Secretary, Union of Construction, Allied Trades and Technicians).

Dr. J. Weston (General Manager. Northampton Development Corporation).

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will list the persons or organizations who have so far given written evidence to his Working Party on Self-Employment in the Construction Industry, indicating in each case which of them have also given oral evidence.

The bodies which have submitted written evidence to the working party are:

Trades Union Congress, Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors.

Committee of Associations of Specialist Engineering Contractors,

National Federation of Building Trades Employers,

Federation of Association of Specialists and Sub-contractors,

Mastic Asphalt Council and Employers' Federation.

At the working party's request, the Department of Employment and the Inland Revenue have submitted papers.
