HC Deb 11 June 1974 vol 874 c530W
Mr. Michael Latham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will set out, by Civil Service grade, the current staffing establishment of the Agreement Board; and what were the equivalent figures for each year since its inception in 1967.

Mr. Freeson

The Agrément Board currently employs 48 staff. There are no direct links between its grades of staff and Civil Service grades, and my Department could not provide detailed information on the breakdown of staff by grades without a disproportionate expenditure of effort.

Mr. Michael Latham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many times the Agrément Board met in 1973; and how many times it has met so far in 1974.

Mr. Freeson

The council of the Agrément Board met eight times in 1973, and has met three times so far in 1974.

Mr. Michael Latham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will list the members of the Agrément Board; and what is the salary or fees paid to each member; and for how long they have served.

Mr. Freeson

The information sought is as follows:

Lord Peddie (Chairman) appointed Feb. 1967
Mr. L. A. Bayman appointed Dec. 1965
Mr. K. C. Evans appointed Dec. Dec. 1965

Mr. A. J. Harris appointed Dec. Dec. 1965
Mr. W. S. Jones appointed Dec. Dec. 1965
Mr. P. Grafton appointed Oct. 1973
Mr. T. P. R. Lant (Director) appointed April 1972
