HC Deb 10 June 1974 vol 874 cc475-6W
Mr. Michael McNair-Wilson

asked the Prime Minister where the five part-time advisers at No. 10 Downing Street (Civil Service Department) were recruited from; and how much time they devote to this work.

The Prime Minister

Of the five advisers originally appointed to part-time duties in No. 10 Downing Street, one— Mr. Kirwan—is now employed full-time. The four remaining part-time advisers are employed on official duties as follows:

Days a week
Mr. C. Carmichael 1
Mr. A. Graham 4
Mr. R. Graham 4
Mr. D. F. J. Piachaud 3

For the sources of recruitment for these advisers I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for Conway (Mr. Roberts) on 9th April.—[Vol. 872, c. 151-3.]
