§ Miss Quennellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what grants are available to community centers, etc., to enable them to install lifts capable of taking handicapped persons, to assist them to play a fuller part in communal activities.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisI am advised that community centers and similar establishments can be provided under a number of statutes. There are powers to make general grants towards their cost, but probably in no case are there specific powers to make grants in respect of particular features of any building.
