§ Mr. HattersleyThe secretaries-general of the following intergovernmental organisations have received standing invitations to attend sessions of the United Nations General Assembly as observers and maintain permanent offices at United Nations Headquarters: the League of Arab States and the Organisation of African Unity. The European Community is requesting the inscription of an item on the agenda of the General Assembly with a view to securing similar status.
