§ Mr. Hastingsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proposals he has for continuing aid to the horticulture industry after 31st December 1974 in view of steadily increasing costs and of the reported decision by the EEC Commission to adopt a policy on the use of energy in horticulture which will phase out all State aid by 31st June 1975.
§ Mr. BishopI assume that the hon. Member is referring to State aids towards the cost of energy and would refer to the reply I gave to the hon. Members for Berwick and East Lothian (Mr. Ancram) and the Isle of Wight (Mr. Ross) on 29th July.
Grants for horticulture under the Horticulture Capital Grant Scheme, the Farm and Horticulture Development Scheme and certain other aids will continue after the end of 1974.
