§ Mr. John FraserThe schemes in respect of which financial assistance from the European Social Fund was awarded to the United Kingdom in 1973 under Articles 4 and 5 respectively of the Council Decision of 1st February 1971 were as follows:

£m Article 4 — training and resettlement of workers leaving agriculture. 0.2 — training and resettlement of workers in or leaving the textile industry. 0.6
Article 5 — government-operated schemes of training for unemployed workers in the proposed Regional Development Fund (RDF) areas. 13.2 — other government expenditure on training in the proposed RDF areas. 4.6 — transfer of workers from and within the proposed RDF areas. 1.8 — training, industrial rehabilitation and resettlement of disabled persons. 3.5 No official notification has yet been received in respect of awards for 1974.
§ Mr. Hurdasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many United Kingdom workers will benefit under the first batch of projects provided under the European Social Fund under Article 4 and Article 5 Assistance, respectively.
