§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsThe Labour Party manifesto said we would set up a new body to redress the balance between the consumer and the manufacturer and seller. The Government have decided to set up a National Consumers' Agency to speak for the consumer, and I hope to announce details of the Government's proposals shortly.
