HC Deb 31 July 1974 vol 878 cc303-4W
Mr. Kelley

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when the Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council can expect to have the result of the inquiry into the compulsory purchase order 1971, Doncaster Southern Relief Road, which was held on 17th January 1973.

Mr. Mulley

Delay has been caused by consideration of representations on a suggested alternative line for a slip road. The statutory procedure has since been complicated by the need to associate with the CPO proposals for stopping up certain roads. But the final decision will depend on the priority given to the scheme by the highway authority, the South Yorkshire County Council, within its transport policies and programmes.
