§ Mr. Pinkasked the Attorney-General it he will make a statement on his policy towards the freedom of barristers to practise in all member countries of the EEC.
The Solicitor-GeneralMy right hon. and learned Friend and I favour the removal of restrictions which prevent barristers from providing their services in the member States of the EEC, but acknowledge that, particularly in relation to advocacy before the courts, the need for expert knowledge and experience of the law and practice of the country concerned must impose limitations.
