HC Deb 30 July 1974 vol 878 c170W
29. Mr. Townsend

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations she has received from disabled people now running three-wheelers to the effect that they may be rendered housebound if they should be found, under the terms of the Sharp Report, to be no longer eligible; and if she will make a statement.

Mr. Alfred Morris

My right hon. Friend has received representations on this matter from many disabled people and organisations representing them. Decisions on the Sharp Report as a whole have not yet been taken, but, as has already been made clear, the Government do not intend to disentitle any existing category of disabled people.
