§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am advised by the Manpower Services Commission that since January 1973, 88 additional bricklaying places, 16 additional carpentry places and 16 additional plastering places have been provided in skillcentres—formerly Government training centres—In the Training Services Agency's North East Region. A further 28 places in bricklaying and 12 in carpentry have been provided by the agency in other establishments. The total places available for training in construction occupations under the Training Opportunities Scheme in the North East Region is now 596.
