asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many members of the reserve forces have died while on duty; and how many have died arising out of accidents received while on duty during each of the last five years.

The numbers of volunteer members of the Reserve Forces, excluding members of the Ulster Defence Regiment, who have died while on duty, since 1969 are:

The available information does not distinguish those who died while on duty as a result of accidents.
