§ Mr. Hugh JenkinsI received a letter dated 1st July jointly from four members of the Writers' Action Group and the Society of Authors, to which I replied on 4th July, repeating the Government's intention, as announced in my reply to a Question on 9th May—[Vol. 873, c.241–42]—from my right hon. Friend the Member for Vauxhall (Mr. Strauss), to introduce legislation this year. Technical discussions are in progress and I have called for an interim report by the end of the month.
