HC Deb 22 July 1974 vol 877 c334W
Mr. Ted Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps are being taken to guarantee the existing level of jobs at the teachers' pensions branch at Darlington.

Mr. Prentice

The staff of the branch is necessarily limited to what is required to deal with its work. The implementation of new legislation has raised numbers to 228 this year. I expect a small decrease in the coming months.
