HC Deb 22 July 1974 vol 877 c346W
Mr. Bray

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many post mortem examinations have been ordered in each of the last 15 years in cases where a medical practitioner had given a death certificate when he had not attended or examined the deceased in the previous 14 days, or where a medical practitioner had refused to give a death certificate because he had not attended within 14 days although he was otherwise attending the former patient on a regular basis.

Dr. Summerskill
